Diversifying the Talent Pipeline (Turner Construction Company)

Embodying a vision to be as richly diverse as the communities in which they work, Turner Construction Company has launched a program with the goal to truly be impactful in increasing the diversity pipeline in the architectural, construction, engineering, and STEM communities. As part of this, Turner is expanding its relationships at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-serving Institutions, and majority universities that have a strong diverse structure built into the core culture of their universities. Not only will this increase the pipeline of diverse talent, it will overall create a more equitable and inclusive culture. Through the program, schools and students benefit from professional development and training led by Turner through their diversity manager and talent acquisition team. One example is the Turner Tuition Assistance Program which is making a difference in the lives of students and helping to grow the pipeline of future hires. By 20230, Turner has committed $15 million in scholarships, grants, and support to pre-college STEM programs and other workforce development efforts.
