A juror is chosen for their standing within their industry, their commitment to CTBUH, and to ensure a balanced representation across geographies, demographics, and industries. All jurors must be recused from judging any projects they are involved in.
10-Year and Lifetime Achievement Jury
The CTBUH Board of Trustees is responsible for selecting the chairs for all awards juries. They are also responsible for selecting both Lifetime Achievement winners, CTBUH Fellows, and judging the 10-Year Award candidates. The trustees are also responsible for possibly designating a Global Icon Award winner, which may or may not be at the Best Tall Building Jury’s suggestion (Global Icon Award winners are rare—only one has been issued to date: the Burj Khalifa in 2010).Best Tall Building Jury
